Wells·Ware established 1991

Born and raised on Manhattan's vibrant Upper West Side, Wells, a young architect had a dream one night. She dreamt of a wonderfully eclectic necklace. It was made of glass enclosed charms which combined miniaturized family photos, nostalgic postcards and faded letters along with fragments of old writing, bits of antique maps, dried rose petals, Victorian lace, mother-of-pearl buttons and delicate silver charms. The next day she made that necklace and WELLS-WARE was born.

Throughout her childhood Wells accompanied her journalist mother on trips that would ultimately span all seven continents. Her early exposure to primitive cultures and ancient lands has given her compassion and wit. This unusual upbringing is apparent in her work which exhibits both ecological correctness and the appreciation of diversity. Wells understands that we must treasure antiquities and value the past. Today she pours the sum of these experiences into her very personal designs.Wells sees every client as unique with their own special life story. She translates that view into the hand crafted jewelry she creates. Working in silver she skillfully frames sentimental objects under glass then strings the lightweight charms onto sparkling Sterling Silver chains. Every piece of WELLS-WARE is one-of-a-kind.
